LaSalle resuming charges for boat ramp

The Town of LaSalle is going to start charging for boat ramp use again.

Starting on Monday an attendant will be on-site daily to accept debit or credit payments, no cash will be accepted.

The boat ramp opened on May 16 but was not charging fees because work was still being done on the ramp. Water levels were fluctuating and the town was not sure if the boat ramp would remain open.

Town administration is now ready to resume regular operation of the boat ramp including charging a daily or seasonal pass rate. The boat ramp fees for the remainder of the 2020 season are as follows (non-refundable): $13.00 daily rate, $75.00 for an annual pass for seniors (55 years of age and over) and $100.00 for an annual pass (under 55 years of age).

The washrooms will be opened daily and will be cleaned twice throughout the day; once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Due to physical distancing guidelines, only two people should be in either washroom at any time.

Due to COVID-19 boat ramp attendants will not assist with launching boats.
