Transit Windsor will continue to operate on a limited schedule until at least July 26.
The transit service has been operating on a Sunday schedule seven days a week since May 4.
Officials say bus capacity and social distancing has not been a big concern because ridership has drastically decreased. Ridership for May and June was down about 85 per cent from 2019 figures.
Going forward, busloads will continue to limit passengers, consistent with public health guidelines and Province of Ontario regulations. Additional buses have been used on the 1C and Crosstown 2 routes during the busiest times.
Bus fares continue to be waived.
All passengers are asked to enter and exit at the back of the bus.
