Investigators are looking into an incident where a gun was fired at a home.
It happened Saturday morning on Everts Avenue near Totten Street. Windsor police officers were called at around 8 a.m. after bullet holes were found in a window. Police believed the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m.that morning when loud noises, like firecrackers, were heard in the neighbourhood.
Police then found damage inside the home believed to be caused by bullets. Several casings were soon found on the roadway.
Constable Talya Natyshak said there were several people home at the time of the incident, but no one was hurt. Everts Avenue was closed to traffic at Totten Street while the Forensic Identification Unit processed the scene and completed its work.
Two suspects were seen running from the area after the shots were fired, said Natyshak. Both were wearing dark-coloured hoodies, black pants, and white running shoes. They were last seen running south on Everts, then turning westbound on Totten.
The Major Crimes Division is handling the investigation.
