The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Windsor-Essex continues to rise with nine new cases reported Monday.
The total is now 1,023.
Of the nine new cases reported, two are health care workers, two are farmworkers, two are community cases, and three are still under investigation.
Random testing throughout Essex County continues this week. The health unit will set up a drive-thru test site at the Vollmer Recreation Complex in LaSalle on Tuesday. Testing will take place in Lakeshore on Wednesday and in Leamington on Thursday.
The health unit will no longer hold daily COVID-19 briefings on Facebook live. This week's briefings will be held on Wednesday and Friday and then the health unit will move to weekly briefings on Fridays.
