Windsor seeking input on a modified summer day camp

The City of Windsor has launched an online survey to get public input on plans to hold a modified summer day camp this year, possibly.

The survey is open until June 14.

The city is investigating options that would include reduced capacity and social distancing measures because of the pandemic.

The province has given the okay to hold summer day camps, but guidelines on how to operate them have not yet been released. They are expected soon.

The modified camps would not include field trips. Instead, children would participate in more arts and crafts projects.

Only a select number of centres may offer the day camps, and the cost would run at $151 per child for the week, or $33 per child a day.
