What is open and closed on Victoria Day in Windsor-Essex

While most town and city halls have been closed anyway because of the pandemic, most have still maintained electronic services. Even those will not be available Monday in observance of the Victoria Day holiday.

The Beer Store will shut down, and so will the LCBO.

There will be no garbage or recycling pickup in Windsor or Essex County. That will be delayed by a day in Windsor, and residents should check their Waste Collection Calendar for the next collection day.

Yard waste pickup in Tecumseh is Monday.

Leamington, Lakeshore, Essex will have their garbage pickup on Tuesday.

The 311 Contact Centre will close Monday and will reopen on Tuesday, but the 211 Call Centre will remain open.

If you have donations to drop off at the WFCU Centre for frontline workers, it will have to wait until Tuesday. The collection centre at the Community Rink doors will be closed for the holiday and will reopen Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Parking enforcement officers have Monday off. There will be no parking enforcement on city streets, but if you have a ticket to pay, you can still do so online by going to the City of Windsor website under E-Services.

Transit Windsor buses are already running on a Sunday schedule because of the pandemic. That service will continue on Monday, but the Customer Service Offices will remain closed.

There will be no transit service in Tecumseh on Monday.
