Municipality of Leamington seeking input on policing

The Municipality of Leamington is looking for input on policing services in the community.

Council said it is seeking input due to widespread public concern over the services currently provided by the Ontario Provincial Police.

The process will be led by Michael Mitchell of MPM Consulting. He will be meeting virtually with multiple organizations throughout Leamington.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings, there will be no public meetings held at this time. Instead, council has launched an online survey about how policing in Leamington can be improved in the community.

The online survey must be completed before June 5, 2020. Written submissions can also be made to the Police Service Board.
