OPP search for 'naked' man in Lakeshore

The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating reports of a naked man on Lakeshore Road 209 Monday night.

The complainant was walking his dogs along the path in the Lakeshore Conservation Area when he came across the man. They exchanged words before the complainant returned to his vehicle in the parking lot.

That is where he told police he saw the man again, this time, wearing his clothes and leaving in a vehicle. Before he left, he showed the complainant a weapon.

Police describe the suspect as a white man who was about 30 years old and 160 pounds. He was clean-shaven and had several tattoos. When he was dressed, he was wearing camouflaged shorts, a green tank top, and a ball cap.

The suspect's vehicle is a green Toyota or Honda 4-door sedan with a blue license plate that had the letters C M E H. In the rear window, there was a "Realtree" brand sticker of a deer's head and antlers.

Police ask anyone who may be able to identify the man or his vehicle to call the OPP Essex County Crime Unit at 519-723-2491 or 1-888-310-1122. Tips can also be left anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.catchcrooks.com.
