Three people are facing charges after a Windsor police officer stopped a vehicle for a licence plate violation.
The patrol officer stopped the car early Monday morning on Wyandotte Street West for not having a front licence plate.
After the car was pulled over, police discovered the car's rear licence plate was registered to a different vehicle. Police also found that the driver was suspended and did not have valid insurance.
Police investigated further and found illicit drugs in the vehicle. All three people in the car were arrested.
Officers seized around 26 grams of crack cocaine, 18 grams of powder cocaine, 20 grams of crystal methamphetamine, Canadian currency and a digital scale.
Three people face a number of charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
