Basement fire started in hydro panel

A fire at a home on Stanley Street in Windsor Monday night caused over $150,000 in damage.

Windsor fire crews responded to the blaze around 10 p.m. When they arrived, they found a fire in the basement and heavy smoke. Fire crews got the blaze under control and investigators attended the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators determined the fire was caused by a failure in the hydro panel. The blaze caused $150,000 damage to the structure of the home and around $75,000 of contents were lost.
