Truck slams into building in Leamington

The OPP have charged a London man after a pick-up truck hit a building in Leamington.

The truck slammed into the business on Talbot Street West around noon on Monday. The driver backed up and took off in the truck, which had extensive damage to its front.  The building had significant structural damage.

According to police, the truck hit a hydro pole and a parked vehicle a few minutes later.

The driver was arrested and charged.

Curtis Lacount, 24, of London is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving while prohibited. None of the charges have been proven in court.
