Emergency child care centres approved

The City of Windsor will provide emergency child care for emergency support workers after an application was approved by the province.

Spots at the facilities are reserved for people in the health care and emergency sectors. Frontline workers include doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, police, and correctional officers. For a full list of eligible workers click here.

Child care is being provided free of charge through funding from the province.

The licensed child care centres that have been approved are Olivia DiMaio in Lakeshore and LaSalle, and the Children's House Montessori and the School House Academy in Windsor.

Applications must be made directly through the City of Windsor which will determine if eligibility requirements are met.
