WAP operations could continue after Easter

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is looking to resume operations at the Windsor Assembly Plant after April 14, 2020.

“FCA plants across the U.S. and Canada, as well as headquarters operations and construction projects, are intended to remain closed until April 14, dependent upon the various state stay in place orders and the readiness of each facility to return to production,” read a statement issued by the company.

Unifor Local 444 President Dave Cassidy got word that the company aims to have the Windsor Assembly Plant up and running at that time.

Ford has also announced that some of its North American plants will resume operations after April 14, 2020. However, no Canadian plants are currently on the list.
