Housing sales remain hot in Windsor-Essex

The housing market remains a good one if you are selling your home.

The Windsor Essex County Association of Realtors said 427 properties were sold in February, up 13.56 per cent from February 2019.

In January, housing sales increased by 21.6 per cent when 301 homes changed hands.

Listings were also up 595 over February 2019. That is a jump of 11.01 per cent. The association said there are currently 798 properties for sale.

Buying a home in Windsor-Essex became even more expensive. The average price was $386,265, up from $324,346 a year ago.

Last month, the bungalow was the most popular model. The association said 82 bungalow-style homes were sold. The ranch was the second most popular style with 74 properties. A total of 61 one-and-a-half storey homes sold, and 41 raised ranch homes.
