Two teens arrested after assault

An assault at an east Windsor park has resulted in two teens being charged.

Windsor police say the incident happened Monday, shortly before 5 p.m. at the park on Forest Glade Drive at Rosebriar Road. Officers were told that two males assaulted a youth. A pair of suspects were later identified and arrested in connection to what police believe was a targeted assault.

No weapons were believed to have been used in the incident, and the victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Both males have been charged with assault. Police are not identifying the suspects in compliance with the Ontario Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The Major Crimes Division is handling the investigation. According to Constable Talya Natyshak, a video taken of the incident is currently being examined by detectives. Police, however, want to remind residents that if a crime is happening in progress, call 911 immediately.
