Explore the Shore Christmas Market this weekend

Are you still looking for some unique locally-made gifts to go under the Christmas tree?

This weekend, shoppers can not only find that perfect gift but support local business at the Explore the Shore Christmas Market.

The Explore the Shore group, businesses along County Road 50 in Leamington and Kingsville, is holding its second annual Christmas market, coming off its tenth yearly successful summer event.

"We had a great turnout at this year's Explore the Shore, and we know our visitors are always looking for new opportunities to buy local while taking in the incredible signs and sounds of County Road 50," said event organizer Carol Quick.

The event is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at two locations, the Colchester Community Centre at 100 Jackson Street and Christ Church Colchester at 190 Bagot Street.

There will be a decorated path between the two venues and horse and carriage rides Saturday between 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This year's vendors include, Quick's Wicks Soy Candles/Melts, Sweetlegs with Cori, The Glass Garage, Oxley Farmacy, Harrow True Lights Books, Anderdon Bee Co., ThirtyOne Gifts, and John R. Park Homestead. A total of 27 vendors will be represented.
