One of the top-selling singers in pop music will make a stop in Windsor this coming winter.
Caesars Windsor announced this week that traditional pop singer and actor Josh Groban will play at The Colosseum on February 9, 2020. Groban is the latest in a series of A-list performers who have played The Colosseum over the years.
The public ticket sale begins Saturday at noon, with seats starting at $73 a person. VIP and Platinum packages will also go on sale. Tickets can be purchased at the Caesars Windsor box office or online.
The California-born Groban, 38, has entertained music lovers for over two decades with his baritone voice. As a teenager, he attended the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts Camp in northern Michigan. Working with Canadian composer and arranger David Foster, Groban worked as a rehearsal singer and appeared on television, with his first hit, "To Where You Are", topping the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart in 2002. His hits since then have included "You Raise Me Up" and "You Are Loved", along with an assortment of singles popular on the radio during the holiday season.
As an actor, Groban has appeared in films such as Crazy Stupid Love, Coffee Town and Muppets Most Wanted, and on television in "Ally McBeal", "The Office", "Glee", and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". On the Broadway stage, Groban was nominated for a 2017 Tony Award for the musical Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812.
Groban has been nominated for four Grammy Awards and won two Billboard Music Awards. He has hosted the Tony Awards, the ABC-TV competition show "Rising Star", and served as a frequent substitute host on "Live with Kelly and Ryan".
The Colosseum show is open to those 19 and older.
