Several buildings in downtown Windsor had to be evacuated due to a gas line strike.
Windsor Fire and Rescue said in a tweet around 2:30 p.m. on Friday that the strike happened on Chatham Street West near Pelissier Street.
Four buildings were originally evacuated but that was increased to six buildings about an hour after the incident was first reported.
Early Saturday morning Enbridge Gas reported that the gas line had been repaired and relight efforts would continue throughout the day.
