Man charged after fiery crash

A man has been arrested following a crash that caused an east-end home to erupt in flames.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Jefferson Boulevard Saturday morning after the white Impala collided with the home. Witnesses said they saw the car speeding before it hit the house and two people, a male and a female, were seen leaving the scene soon after the collision.

Windsor police determined the car was stolen from Ford Boulevard earlier that night.

A 27-year-old male from Windsor is facing a charge of possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Windsor police said the matter remains under active investigation.
