NDP candidates promising better quality of life

Local NDP candidates are promising their plan will lead to a better quality of life in Windsor Essex.

They said the NDP platform presents a "new deal for Windsor-Essex" with its pharmacare plan, a promise for lower cell phone bills and a National Automotive Strategy that will secure jobs and make life more affordable for families.

Essex candidate Tracey Ramsey said Conservative and Liberal governments have failed the region in recent years.

"They've made a lot of promises but things are not getting better for people and families in their lives and we know that working people are not seeing results from these governments," said Ramsey.

Meanwhile, both Conservative and Liberal candidates locally have told voters that if they want change they need to vote for a "voice at the table".

Ramsey faces liberal candidate Audrey Festeryga, Conservative candidate Chris Lewis, Green Party candidate Jennifer Alderson, and People's Party of Canada candidate William Capes.

In Windsor-Tecumseh, Cheryl Hardcastle faces Liberal candidate Irek Kusmierczyk, Conservative candidate Leo Demarce, Green Party candidate Giovanni Abati, and People's Party of Canada candidate Dan Burr.

In Windsor-West, Brian Masse is facing Liberal candidate Sandra Pupatello, Conservative candidate Henry Lau, Green Party candidate Quinn Hunt, and People's Party of Canada candidate Darryl Burrell.

Election day is October 21, 2019.
