LaSalle officials to answer questions about coyotes

After numerous complaints about coyotes in the Town of LaSalle, officials are holding an open house to answer questions.

The open house is planned for October 17 in council chambers at the LaSalle Civic Centre on Malden Road between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Coyote Watch Canada, the Windsor Essex Humane Society, LaSalle Police Service and the town will be there.

There will not be any formal presentations, and all residents are welcome.

Back in June, a pet dog was killed in a coyote attack on Bouffard Road. Lori Quaggiotto said she had started expressing concerns about the increase of coyote activity in her neighbourhood in January.

Since then, other residents have also complained about aggressive behaviour by coyotes in the area.
