The issuing of a search warrant has led to the arrest of two people on drug charges.

Windsor police said members of its Drugs and Guns (DIGS) Unit executed the warrant on Friday at a home on Wyandotte Street West near Dougall Avenue. The Emergency Services Unit assisted in carrying out the search of the property.

The search uncovered unspecified quantities of methamphetamine and oxycodone. Two people in the home were arrested without incident.

Christopher Bernard, 61, of Windsor, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of breach of recognizance. Melanie Bouwma, 35, of Windsor is charged with one count apiece of possession, facilitating a breach of recognizance and breach of probation.

These charges have not been proven in court.
