Attempted murder charge laid in Lincoln Road stabbing

A 46-year-old Windsor man faces attempted murder and robbery charges following a shocking stabbing last week on Lincoln Road.

Around 12:30 p.m. on July 3, a woman was in the backyard of her home at 876 Lincoln Rd. when a man wearing headphones and an orange safety jacket stabbed her.

She was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Windsor police released a description of the suspect the next day, and on Friday told media investigators were looking for a man named Dana Reardon.

Police arrested the suspect Monday.

Charges against Reardon have not been proven in court.

The investigation is still active, and police ask anyone with information to call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830, or Crime Stoppers if they choose to remain anonymous at 519-258-8477. They can also leave their information online at www.catchcrooks.com.
