UPDATE: Police release name of Windsor stabbing suspect

Windsor police continue searching for a man suspected of stabbing a woman.

An older adult woman was stabbed at a home on Lincoln Road near Niagara Street on Wednesday at approximately 12:30 p.m.  She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police looked for the suspect but couldn't find him and released his description Thursday evening. On Friday morning, the name of the suspect was also released.

Dana Reardon, 46, of Windsor, is still at large and is facing attempted murder and robbery charges.

The male suspect is described as white, approximately 5'6" tall, 120-130 lbs., with a slender build, short brown hair, and hazel eyes. The suspect was possibly wearing an orange safety vest and large headphones at the time of the incident.

The weapon, believed to be a knife, has not been recovered.

If you come across someone matching the description, police urge you not to approach the person yourself, but call 911 immediately.
