Several charges have been laid against three people from Windsor after a report of shots being fired at a home in downtown Windsor.
Police said officers found what appeared to be damage caused from a gunshot at Mercer Street and Elliott Street on Wednesday at approximately 1 p.m. Shell casings were also found.
No suspects were found but the home was occupied at the time of the shooting. Investigators believe this was a targeted incident but no injuries were reported.
An investigation determined that a black Ford F-150, believed to be stolen, was involved in the incident.
A black truck, believed to be the same stolen pickup involved in the shooting, was seen in the area of Arthur Road and Ypres Street on Wednesday at around 2 p.m. Multiple people in the truck entered the home and shortly after, officers and the Emergency Service Unit surrounded it, and remained at the scene for several hours. By around7:30 p.m., everyone had left the house and an hour later, one of the suspects was arrested on Ouellette Avenue near Erie Street.
Police said no suspects remain at large.
Jade Freeswick, a 23 year old man from Windsor, is facing several charges including possession of a firearm without a licence, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, intentionally discharging a firearm recklessly, possession of a handgun for the purpose of committing an offence, breach of probation, and not following court orders.
Matthew Maskery, a 34-year-old man from Windsor, is facing charges including intentionally discharging a firearm recklessly, and occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm.
Danielle Bigelow (AKA Lauzon), a 31-year-old woman from Windsor, is charged with possession of a firearm without a licence.
