Multiple firearms stolen from Windsor home

Several firearms and a quantity of ammunition are missing after a break and enter in Windsor.

According to police, the break-in occurred at a house on Riberdy Road near Seymour Boulevard on May 22.

Investigators believe the residence was targeted specifically for the firearms.

The Property Crimes Unit is investigating and asking anyone with information on the incident to give them a call at  519-255-6700 ext. 4350. Anonymous tips may be submitted by contacting Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.

Following the theft, police are also reminding people of the importance of storing firearms safely and separately from any ammunition or documentation. They also recommend a home security system for any residence where firearms are stored.
