Teen cyclist hospitalized after being struck by vehicle

A 13-year-old is in hospital after a serious collision involving a bicycle and a car in Tecumseh.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the cyclist was struck on Lacasse Boulevard near Tecumseh Road on Friday at around 6 p.m.

The teen suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, police said.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation but the road has since been reopened to traffic.
