There's been another shakeup at Aphria Inc.
The Leamington cannabis grower has announced that its president, Jakob Ripshtein, is stepping down as part of the company's restructuring.
Ripshtein will remain in his current role until June 7, 2019, and then his current responsibilities will be shared among the existing senior leadership team.
New executive appointments include Chief Operating Officer James Meiers, Tim Purdie as chief information officer and chief information security officer, and Maureen Berry as vice president of corporate human resources.

Simon, interim chief executive officer of Aphria Inc. "He has been instrumental in assembling the incredible team we are fortunate to have today that will carry his responsibilities forward.”
Aphria said a top priority for the Leamington company is to continue to build its executive talent and culture and it believes the appointments demonstrate its commitment to adding depth, experience and leadership to the team as it further advances Aphria’s strategic priorities in Canada and around the world.
“At Aphria, we remain focused on creating long-term shareholder value by leveraging our strong brand positioning, superior distribution model, product innovation, industrial-scale cultivation and automation, medical-use leadership," continued Simon.
He added the expansion of the growing operations is progressing smoothly and Aphria is on-track to reach its annual production capacity of 110,000 kilograms by the end of 2019.
