Windsor arson under investigation

Windsor police are looking for help to solve an arson in west Windsor over the weekend.

Investigators are looking for any information about a fire at a vacant two-storey triplex on Wellington Avenue and Wyandotte Street on Saturday.

"We are encouraging anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around the time and area of the fire to contact us or Crime Stoppers," police said in a news release Monday afternoon. "A reminder that a small detail you may not think is relevant, may be a key piece of evidence we are looking for."

There were no reported injuries.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services reported on Sunday that the fire started on the first floor of the building, which was under renovation at the time of the blaze. Damage is estimated at around $75,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police 519-255-6700 ext. 4330, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.catchcrooks.com.

There was another fire at the same house a month ago.
