As the Town of Essex continues work on a plan to lay out long-term priorities, it is looking for some help from its residents.
The town has launched a community survey, the first of a number of community engagement opportunities.
The results will be implemented into its strategic planning process as it identifies key goals over the next four years.
"Strategic plans serve as an important reminder of where we want to go as an organization and as a community," said Mayor Larry Snively. "As individual councillors, we all have our own priorities, but this is an opportunity to come together and identify the broader goals we want to achieve."
The online survey should not take more than five or ten minutes to complete. Among the questions, residents can identify their top three strategic priorities.
"In the end, we hope the plan will act as a roadmap -- while encouraging citizens to play a part in [the strategic plan's] creation," said CAO Chris Nepszy.
