Express pushed over by the Edge

The Windsor Express fell 97-90 to the St. John's Edge in NBLC action on Friday.

Windsor held a two-point lead at the end of the first quarter and extending it to a 49-38 advantage by halftime.  St. Johns closed the gap in the third to cut Windsor's lead to 75-67, before taking a one-point lead with four minutes left in the final frame. The Edge completed their comeback in the final minutes to win with a seven-point advantage.

Chris Jones led Windsor with a game-high 23 points and eight assists. Tyrrel Tate added another 22 points and seven rebounds, while Angelo Griffis put up 17 points and had five rebounds.

The Express are on the road again on Sunday take on the Edge at 12:30 p.m.
