Spitfires double Battalion 4-2

The Windsor Spitfires snapped a five-game losing skid after defeating the North Bay Battalion 4-2 on Thursday.

Curtis Douglas scored 12:03 into the first period to put Windsor on the board, and Ben Garagan added another before the end of the frame to give the Spitfires a 2-0 lead.

Luke Boka and Daniel D'Amico both scored in the first half of the second period to extend Windsor's lead to 4-0. The Battalion were able to score two back-to-back goals in the third, but Windsor kept them at bay for the rest of the game to ensure the win.

The Spitfires will travel to Sudbury on Friday to face off against the Wolves at 7:05 p.m.
