Windsor to plow residential streets Sunday morning

The city of Windsor is asking residents for their cooperation as they continue to plow streets after Saturday's snowfall.

Crews will begin clearing residential streets throughout the city at 5 a.m. Sunday, according to a tweet from the city's official Twitter account. The city is asking residents to remove their vehicles from the road so plows can easily get through and clear the street properly.

The city has been working throughout the day Saturday to clear the main arteries, after Windsor-Essex was hit by the first significant snowstorm of the winter. Windsor prioritizes main streets before clearing residential areas and subdivisions.

Residents are being asked to put their vehicles in their driveways if possible, to minimize the risk of damage by snow plows and remove as much snow from the street as possible.
