Windsor man arrested after allegedly speeding to evade police

A Windsor man has been charged with dangerous driving and drug possession after allegedly speeding and blowing through a stop sign on New Year's Day.

Police said they noticed a driver acting suspiciously in the area of Buckingham Drive and Ontario Street on Tuesday at approximately 10 a.m. They said that's when a green Ford Escort sped off and allegedly travelled in a dangerous manner through many city streets. Officers later found the vehicle on the front lawn of a house on Pillette Road near Guy Street and discovered the suspect hiding in a garage a block away on Olive Road.

Kristopher Lucier, 32, from Windsor, is charged with dangerous driving, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin and six counts of breaking court orders to stay out of trouble.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
