Two men with warrants arrested in Windsor

Windsor police have arrested two men wanted on various charges in Toronto.

Officers were called to a home on California Avenue near Davis Street around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, after a report at least one person inside the house was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The area was soon surrounded, and police discovered there were seven people were inside the home.

Police were able to communicate with those in the house via telephone, and the property owner, who was on the scene, cooperated with the investigation. Eventually, all seven people left the home without incident.

Two of them, men in their early 20s, were wanted by Toronto police on charges that included carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, theft under $5,000, and breach of recognizance.

Both men have been returned to Toronto to answer to the charges in court.
