A lucky charity will win over $25,000 as two local philanthropy groups host their annual event Tuesday night.
The Windsor-Essex groups called "100 Men Who Give a Damn" and "100 Women Who Care" will be hosting their fourth annual combined event at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts at 201 Riverside Drive W. at 6 p.m.
Group members will have an opportunity to nominate their favourite charities in Windsor-Essex.
Of the 19 organizations invited, four will have their names drawn for an opportunity to make a final pitch to the members. The members will then vote for the winner.
This year, seven local businesses have also pledged to be a “Company Who Cares,” to support the selected charity.
The organizations have 100 people donating $100, four times a year, to help local people in need.
Hiatus House was the winning charity last November.
