Two teens are charged with uttering threats and extortion after an incident sparked a hold and secure at St. Joseph's Catholic High School.
Officers were called to the school around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after a student told staff he had been threatened and harassed on social media. The threats were enough for school officials to issue the hold and secure and a number of police units were called to the scene.
"Hold and secure" is used when there is a threat from outside the school. It is not the same as a "lockdown" where an intruder is inside the building.
Two boys, aged 15 and 17, were identified as suspects and arrested.
They can not be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The hold and secure was lifted at 2:15 p.m.
