Stroll Windsor promoting business and health through walking

Stroll Windsor is capping off its first year with a stroll in Via Italia.

It takes place on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30.p.m.

Stroll Windsor is a grassroots, community initiative that encourages residents and visitors to take a stroll in our urban villages, so they can discover or re-discover the city’s diverse neighbourhoods and local businesses. On "Stroll" dates, Business Improvement Associations, local businesses and community organizations have something special for walkers, such as free samples, tastings, tours, promos, art, demos, historical tidbits and kid-friendly activities.

Previous strolls have been held in Ford City and Walkerville.

"We are excited to be hosting our final stroll of 2018 in Via Italia," said program organizer and local resident Justin Lafontaine. "Over 15 businesses along Erie Street East are participating showcasing the neighbourhood's unique offerings and character."

Stroll Windsor's community partners include the City of Windsor - Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund, Ford City Residents in Action, Ford City BIA, Walkerville BIA, Via Italia BIA, Wyandotte Town Centre BIA, and Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island.
