A 33-year-old Windsor man has been charged with several offences after allegedly trying to flee from police.
Police said officers were in the area of Marlin Avenue and Dolphin Road on Sunday at around 12:30 p.m. to investigate a man wanted on outstanding warrants and driving a stolen vehicle when they saw a vehicle being driven erratically.
The vehicle collided with two police cruisers, two parked vehicles, a nearby front porch. The suspect then abandoned the vehicle and allegedly ran away but officers found him behind a nearby home. Officers were forced to Taser the man because he allegedly resisted arrest.
Jacob Brode of Windsor is charged with dangerous driving, evading police, possession of stolen property, unlawfully being in a dwelling, resisting arrest and two counts of breach of recognizance. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
