A man accused in the murder of Autumn Taggart has been named by Windsor police.

On June 10, Taggart's body was found inside her apartment at the corner of University Ave. and McKay Ave. Police say the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Investigators believe that her 9-year-old child was inside the unit at the time.

Police say a Canadian citizen, living in Michigan, was arrested in the State of Washington on August 17.

Investigators here are working with partner agencies to have 27-year-old Jitesh Bohgal extradited back to Windsor to face charges in court.  He is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated sexual assault, and break and enter.
