UPDATE: Elderly Man Struck By Vehicle

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in east Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Thursday around 3:20pm, a man in his late 70s was hit by the vehicle on Tecumseh Rd. E at Annie St.

Police say the man is being assessed in hospital but it is unknown if his injuries are life threatening.

The police crash reconstruction unit responded to the scene, and the eastbound lanes of Tecumseh Rd. were closed at Lauzon Pkwy. for several hours while officers conducted an investigation. All lanes have since been reopened.

No charges have been laid at this time.
