The Town of Lakeshore says it is getting increased reports of fox activity in its urban areas.
The Ministry of Natural Resources recommends that people keep their distance from wildlife and says that animals will most likely avoid human interaction.
The town is recommending that people keep their properties clean, eliminate hiding places, and pick up pet feces.
Foxes are omnivores and eat a large variety of small mammals like rodents, as well as birds, eggs, insects, fruits, and grasses. They will also eat garbage or the decaying flesh of dead animals if available.
