Old Spitfire Plane To Be Displayed In Windsor

There's an old Spitfire visiting Windsor this month but this one doesn't skate, it flies.

The Roseland Spitfire will be at the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association July 20th from 10am-8pm.

Flight Lieutenant Arnold “Rosey” Roseland, 442 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Force Flight-Commander, flew the original aircraft 65 times in 1944. He was just 28-years-old when he died in an aerial gunfight over Normandy in the summer of 1944.

After being grounded for many years, the Spitfire made a triumphant debut in Ottawa for Canada’s 150th birthday last year.

Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for students and $22 for families. Veterans get in for free.
