Several thousand west Windsor residents were in the dark Thursday evening.
EnWin Utilities said two issues caused hydro outages in the Sandwich, Ojibway, South Cameron, Malden and University areas, resulting in over 4,600 customers without power at one point.
The utility said one issue was a burnt-up connection in power lines on Ojibway Pkwy. The second was a tree limb that had fallen onto wires on Marentette Ave. near Provincial Rd. The cause is believed to have been weather-related.
Crews were dispatched to handle the problem and power was restored to all customers.
