Second Victim Determined In Weekend Stabbing

Windsor police say a second man has been treated for stab wounds following a weekend fight.

Officers came across a man who had been stabbed at 2:45am Saturday in the area of Chatham St. and Goyeau Ave., near police headquarters. Police now say that a second man was also injured in the same attack.

The investigation showed that the two men were in the area of University Ave. E and Ouellette Ave. at 2:30am when they met two other males. An argument began between them and the first man was assaulted at that point.

A few minutes later, the second man confronted the group near police headquarters and was assaulted himself.

Both were treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The WPS Major Crimes Division continues to investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830, or Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
