It says wind speeds gusting to 50 km/hr are possible.
The authority says flooding is possible for the south and west shore of Pelee Island, the shore of Leamington, west of the tip of Point Pelee National Park and the shore of Kingsville and Essex.
Those areas have already been damaged by recent lake wind events.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
