How Would You Rate Windsor-Essex?

The Windsor Essex Community Foundation wants to hear from you as part of its fifth community-wide vital signs survey.

The survey asks all members of the community to answer a series of questions surrounding quality of life in Windsor Essex.

"We want to make our community better, be proactive but also look at the data and what the supports say about our community. Do we need regional transportation? Do we need more bike paths?" says WECF Executive Director Lisa Kolody.

Kolody says the information is used by a number of community groups to help guide decision making.

"One of the areas that we've kept watching is getting around and regional transportation. In the last five years, I think that's really grown and different municipalities are really listening to the data," says Kolody.

The survey is available online and can be filled out until mid-August. The results will be tabulated and published in a report at the beginning of October.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
