The Windsor Police Service has two new deputy chiefs.
Superintendent Pam Mizuno and Inspector Brad Hill will be taking on the roles as Deputy Chief Vince Power prepares for retirement.
Mizuno says she is eager to tackle the challenges that the force will face over the next few years.
"Some of the challenges include the changing legislation, there's issues with opioids in the community and the legalization of marijuana, so all of those will be challenges moving forward," says Mizuno.
Mizuno will be the service's first female deputy chief. She has been a member of the Windsor Police Service for 24 years.
Hill has been a member of the Windsor Police Service for 34 years. As an inspector, he was the leader of the investigations division and worked as a leader in criminal intelligence and the drug enforcement unit.
"Our organization is very successful. I've been lucky enough to run our investigation division for some time as an inspector and we have excellent clearance rates and I hope we continue with that and we have a great success at solving crime," says Hill
Deputy Chief Power is expected to retire this year but an exact date has not been announced.
