Driver Seriously Injured in Woodslee Crash

A driver is in serious condition after a collision in Lakeshore.

Ontario Provincial Police say the incident happened around 3pm Saturday on Essex County Rd 46 near Lakeshore Rd 217, west of Woodslee.

It was not disclosed how the crash happened, but OPP Constable Jim Root says two vehicles were involved.

The female driver of one of the vehicles is in hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported.

Essex-Windsor EMS and the Lakeshore Fire Department assisted the OPP with the investigation.

County Rd 46 was closed for several hours between Puce Rd and Belle River Rd for several hours while crews completed the clean-up.

The investigation is ongoing.
