Tecumseh Crash Sends One To Hospital

A driver has been hospitalized following a collision in Tecumseh.

Tecumseh Fire and Rescue says it happened shortly before 2:30pm Sunday.

Two vehicles crashed at County Rd 42 and Banwell Rd. When first responders arrived at the scene, one vehicle crashed into the stone and brick pillar at a home, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. The other vehicle was in a ditch.

The scene was cleared about a half an hour later. One driver went to hospital, with no word on identity or the severity of the injuries.

It was not immediately clear if the other driver was hurt.

The investigation is ongoing.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
